ANHAM Employee Profile | Mohammad Nazir
Nazir was hired as a HSEQ QA Coordinator on July 23rd, 2013 at the inception of the ANHAM SPV-A program. He immediately demonstrated a natural ability to perform the Quality Assurance Inspections required and had a natural rapport with the entirety of the QA Staff. It is his dedication and work ethic that made him a standout among the QA Staff and he was selected from among his peers to be promoted to QA Supervisor on January 1st, 2014.
Nazir became the Frozen Section Supervisor responsible for the 100% QA checks performed on all of the food pallets shipped to ANHAM customers, putting in long hours in the cold environment of the freezer chambers performing his duties. He was then selected to lead the 100% QA Inspection in the Dry Chamber and made an immediate impact on decreasing damages found and removed from pallets being sent to customers.
Outside of work, Nazir has been able to support his extended family. He has been able to help his younger brother attend Medical School here in the Kabul area and his brother hopes to be a Medical Specialist in the future, which would provide him the opportunity to give back to his community. Nazir has four wonderful children of which the two oldest are able to attend private school through his employment with ANHAM.
Nazir is one of our most trusted and reliable QA Supervisors and the HSEQ Department relies on his ability to translate our needs to the rest of the LN QA Staff, which is one of the reasons that has made our LN QA Inspection program so effective these past three and half years. Nazir’s story is one of many typical trajectories of success that stem from the employment opportunities made available through the ANHAM SPV program in Afghanistan. He has great hopes for his family and is proud to be a part of making a better future for his country.
