ANHAM Fun Day!
Spring was a particularly busy period for the ANHAM Afghanistan office, especially with the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, which is the holy month of fasting for Muslims around the world. To end Ramadan, everyone celebrates Eid al-Fitr with great joy and celebration, joining with friends and family to celebrate the day. This year, while local ANHAM staff took the day off to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families, other ANHAM employees participated in a special “ANHAM Fun Day.”
The “ANHAM Fun Day” included good food, fun events and an opportunity for the ANHAM Afghanistan community to come together. Staff members were sorted into random teams and each team was then assigned a unique color. Teams participated in dozens of activities including: volleyball, tug-of-war, a sack race, an egg race, mini-golf and a basketball free-throw contest. The day concluded with a karaoke challenge where everyone got to test out their vocal skills. It was a fun-filled day of lighthearted competition, enjoyed by all. A special congratulations to the Green Team for their team win!
After finishing the “ANHAM Fun Day” events, everyone enjoyed an afternoon barbecue with delicious snacks and ice-cream. Not only was this a great opportunity for the ANHAM Afghanistan team to enjoy some much deserved time off, but it also gave everyone the chance to catch-up and connect.
