Immediate Assistance Requested Following Flood

Following a recent flash flood that took place on Wednesday 26th August 2020 in Parwan, north of the capital city Kabul in Afghanistan, immediate assistance was requested by the Parwan Authorities to provide aid to families left without food or shelter.

As a result of the natural disaster, over 1,500 homes were destroyed, with many people either unfortunately losing their lives or suffering injuries, some of which were women and children.

Within 24 hours of receiving the request for aid, ANHAM responded quickly by sourcing and distributing over 200 food parcels and blankets for the flood victims who gathered outside a girl’s school in Parwan.

ANHAM extends its condolences during this difficult time.
