ANHAM Drivers Continue Immersive Training
Recently, drivers in ANHAM’s Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV)-IJK program had the opportunity to put their driving skills to the test. In line with previous initiatives to improve driver education and operational skill, SPV-IJK drivers participated in several days of induction and familiarization training courses aimed at promoting vehicle safety and driver awareness.
The 7-day training course immersed our drivers in classroom lectures that covered a wide range of topics, from global traffic regulations to vehicle maintenance and accident management.
“We have one of the best and most comprehensive driver training academies in the Middle East. Our training is important to our mission and delivering to some of the most volatile and difficult areas in the world requires continuous training in terms of safety and customer service.”
The drivers also had the opportunity to engage in hands-on demonstrations and live-action practice scenarios in the vehicles they operate as a part of the SPV-IJK mission. The training was delivered on site by ANHAM Driving Training Instructor Pedro Bunales and Imad Al-Zubi, Transport HSEQ Manager. Current drivers and new hires were able to develop and refine the skills needed to operate and maintain refrigerated units, flatbed trailers, and other vehicles in the SPV-IJK program fleet.
ANHAM’s SPV-IJK program requires our drivers to be able to operate in a variety of conditions in theatres of operation across the globe. SPV-IJK Program Manager Brad Dunn spoke to the importance of the driver training program, stating “We have one of the best and most comprehensive driver training academies in the Middle East. Our training is important to our mission and delivering to some of the most volatile and difficult areas in the world requires continuous training in terms of safety and customer service.”
ANHAM’s commitment to our mission supporting our customers is best in class and sets standards for each component in our supply chain. By providing our drivers with hands-on training and in-depth classroom instruction, we are able to ensure that our employees carry out our mission with the highest degree of professionalism and safety.
