Jay Ward – Chief Executive Officer
Jay Ward is the Chief Executive Officer of ANHAM. Jay joined the company in January 2013 as the Chief Operating Officer and assumed the CEO role in January 2014. In this role, he is responsible to the president for the company’s worldwide operations. Prior to joining ANHAM he was COO of AECOM Government Services. He played a key role in establishing AECOM’s programs supporting the company’s engagement in OIF and OEF. He was been personally involved in managing the company’s programs in Kuwait, Afghanistan and in Iraq. He was instrumental in all AECOM operations in Afghanistan since inception in 2005, growing from 200 personnel to over 4,000 at over 40 locations in country. In addition, Ward was responsible for operational excellence and oversight of all AGS contracts supporting other clients, including DTRA, DOE, and intelligence agencies. He was selected in 2011 to the inaugural group of ten AECOM Fellows in recognition of his commitment to excellence and long-term industry experience and leadership role.
Prior to joining AECOM, Ward served as a Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of L3 Vertex Aerospace responsible for worldwide support of Army, Navy, and Air Force aviation and aviation logistics programs, including Contract Field Teams and the Ft. Rucker Aviation Maintenance Operation. Additionally, he served as Senior Vice President of DynCorp Technical Services in Fort Worth, Texas, where he managed the Operations and Maintenance Services Business Unit for domestic operations. In this role, he was responsible for nearly $300 million in annual revenue. Ward has been in the services contracting industry for over 30 years, serving in a number of positions in contract administration, marketing, and operations. In addition to a number of high profile corporate level positions, Ward served as general manager of the Navy’s largest base operations support contract at Sub Base Bangor, which included 1,000 employees providing a full range of services including fire department, security, facility operations and maintenance, lodging and MWR support.
In addition to his service at L3 and DynCorp, prior industry experience includes senior management positions with Fluor, Lockheed Martin, Johnson Controls, United Airlines Services Corporation, Baker Support Services, and Lear Siegler. Prior to joining the private sector, Ward was a contracting officer with the Department of Defense (Air Force).
Jay is a graduate of Trinity University, San Antonio, TX where he earned a Masters in Business Administration and he earned a Bachelor of Science, Finance, at the University of Oklahoma.
